Blimey! Busy few days…
Bath at the weekend was good fun, don’t have too much recollection of what happened due to a strange phenomenon known as ‘alcohol’, but as far as I can remember Saturday night ran thus:
Started in the Slug and Lettuce and lost a lot of money on the quiz machine playing Bullseye, Deal or No Deal and Q Music Quiz (My name third on the top scorers list- check it out). Met up with Mark and Gabs again in Sub 13 for a couple of cheeky ones and then headed to the Beau Bar to see if we could chat to any sexy girlies. Unfortunately we couldn’t. Went to Moles where Chris was re-acquainted with some people from his not-too-distant past that he would rather not have and then on to The Bluerooms (of course) to drink champagne and look like playas.
We met some old women who were jealous of our youth and so tried to steal our champagne, and then trashed the last glasses of it and acted like they didn’t know what had happened. Confrontation was decided against and we continued to enjoy our night talking to two beautiful brunettes in the ‘lounge’. Chris says he will stay in touch – keep his eye in, if you will – for the next big weekender.
Last night went for a curry with friends (and Anna) for Chris Allen’s birthday. Present were Chris, Nathan, Simon (back from Canada), Adam, Becky, Ally, Anna (yawn), Gareth and myself. Was good fun, I had Onion Bhajis, a Lamb Bhuna, Bombay Aloo and a Garlic Naan, along with about 4 pints and a JD to finish the night off. Feel pretty rough this Wednesday morning, but chin up and all that- big party this weekend for Chris and Laura M’s birthday.
I have set myself a deadline of Tuesday 23rd January to have everything ready and set for renting out my flat- mortgage stuff, gas and electric inspections, insurance etc – and hope to be able to start looking for places with Chris and Ally by then. I aim to put my flat on the market on 1st February.
