Of course, I got paid last week, and the weekend which follows payday is generally regarded as one over which a stupid amount of money is spent; this weekend was no exception. Andy came to visit on Friday from Grimsby, where he now lives, and we went into Reading. I was pleasantly surprised to be reminded how easy it is to get on with Andy, and how comfortable I am in his presence, even though I hadn’t seen him for almost two years. The night was mixed; after being knocked off my feet coming out of the train station for no discernable reason by some cunt, we headed to the Oakford Social Club. So good was it that we made the decision to end the night there, after meeting up with Marc and James in the Purple Turtle (who claimed they were going to meet us back at Oakford, but didn’t show). Unfortunately when we got back there it was pretty empty, but the music was still good and we managed a good hour of manic dancing to The Gossip and the like.
Then Saturday morning, after a breakfast of bacon and egg sandwiches, we hit the road for Bath in Andy’s van (which had been left open all night, the door swinging invitingly ajar). Arrived at Chris’s about half two and soon were out at the Ha Ha Bar watching the rugby (yawn) and drinking Fruilis. In the evening we went to Revolution for two cocktails each, then Sub 13, where I was abused by some idiot in a scarf. Then went to Moles to see Annie Mac, although as soon as she stepped up to the oche the lights went out and the sound died. By this time we were too boozed to care and so we went to the Bluerooms, where again I was picked on for some reason (“You look like you need about 10 hours down the gym a week, pal”), but we gave as good as we got. Twat.
And to be honest that’s all I remember, apart from waking up on Chris’s floor (having not pumped the bed up). Got the train home and straight out to a band practise in Ascot on Sunday evening.
keeping up with what i'm up to, but sporadically and with less grammar than before

Sounds pretty cuntalicious as far as the folk out went.
Shame about missing Annie - saw her last week in Leeds. Garage a plenty!
