Just want to direct you, quickly, towards this blog entry about the sudden death of Pavarotti and the impact he had on the author. Pretty stirring stuff.
Personally, I've just been watching his concert in Central Park on BBC2 tonight, and I was struck by the energy of the man, and the way he acts his way though the pieces he sings. He looks like he lives every word.
