Things have settled down again since the weekend, my stomach and head are back to their usual numb selves and are looking forward to more of the same kind of abuse this coming weekend.
On Sunday night I was supposed to be at a band practise for Flat 5, but I forgot, which is pretty bad considering we have a gig on February 10th and there are a few tunes that we’re doing that I definitely need to catch up on. I think another practise has been arranged for next Sunday evening, so I’ll need to make sure I’m back in time from Bath.
Chris and Ally came over last night. Chris is definitely not going to be moving out with us now, as it looks like he will now be setting up Sushi one0eight in Guildford rather than Reading. It wouldn’t make sense for me to move to Guildford, with my job, and to be honest, Reading is where I want to be anyway. Ally and I made some viewing appointments for a couple of 2 bed places in Reading, so the dream is not dead yet!
Took my car into the garage this morning for them to have a look at the brakes issue that I seem to have. Apparently the callipers on my front left wheel have probably gone and I’m taking it in on Friday to get it sorted. I shouldn’t be driving on it really, I’m told, but I’m going to have to for the next couple of days. I can’t afford three day’s worth of taxi fares to and from work.
Arranged for a Johnny Arrow practise round Geoff’s next Wednesday with Simon – things are moving forward quite nicely, and I’m optimistic of being at a gig standard by the end of Feb.
